Thomas
A. Trapani
specializes in professional liability,
construction defect, commercial, product liability, and toxic
tort litigation. He also has experience in mechanics lien,
breach of contract, torts, employment, insurance, premises
liability and business litigation. He has successfully tried
cases involving asbestos exposure, premises liability, surety
bad faith, product liability, medical, legal and financial
planner malpractice, defamation, and police excessive force.
Mr. Trapani has also served as an arbitrator and mediator
in several Bay Area courts.
Mr.
Trapani has practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area since
1981. He has arbitrated and/or tried numerous civil cases
throughout the Bay Area and in Sacramento. He has spoken at
seminars concerning construction-related litigation and medical
malpractice. He is the author of "State of the Art Requires
Historical Perspective" and other articles for Occupational
Safety and Health Magazine.
Mr.
Trapani received his B.A. degree in History and Political
Science from the University of California at Los Angeles in
1978 and his J.D. degree from the University of California
at Davis in 1981.
He
is admitted to practice in all California state courts, in
the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals,
and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central and
Eastern Districts of California. He is a member of the Association
of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada and the
Alameda County Bar Association.
